 China Film Equipment Corporation (CFEC), a nationwide film equipment trading company affiliated directly to the State Administration of Radio, Film & Television, was established in July 1951. In Feb 1999, CFEC became a member of China Film Group Corporation, when the Group was founded by eight companies including China Film Company and Beijing Film Studio. After more than 50 years of hard working, CFEC has accumulated extensive experiences in organizing manufacturing, supply and sales of film equipment, has established large range of business relationships with over 30 local film equipment companies, film equipment manufacturers and film production organizations. Over 20 years of export & import endeavors have brought CFEC trading relations with film equipment manufactures and trade agencies in more than 100 countries and regions. CFEC has developed into a comprehensive enterprise in the following aspects: internal trading in film & TV equipment and lighting equipment, undertaking traditional and digital cinema projects, export and import of film equipment, film stock importation, cinema equipment and related products export, sales of medical equipment, photosensitive materials, printing equipment and spare parts, organizing International Broadcasting, Film & TV (BIRTV), professional information announcement, organizing visits to international exhibition both at home and abroad, management of risk-investment for small businesses in the science & technology garden, warehouse rental, real-estate development and management as well as property management.
As digital cinema equipment and technology has been promoted and developed in China, CFEC has been actively taking up the role of providing logistic services for digital film production, distribution and exhibition and training professionals. In just a few years, a professional team of digital cinema technology has been set up for providing technical services. In October 2004, China Film Time Cinema Technology (Beijing) Co. Ltd, a joint venture between CFEC, China Film Digital Co. and China Research Institute of Film & Science Technology has been founded and become the only high-tech enterprise providing technical services for digital cinema lines in China. In order to publicize and promote digital technology and in addition to the periodical professional trainings in different areas together with equipment suppliers, CFEC has successfully held three digital cinema Forums from 2003 to 2005 during BIRTV shows. The forums have served as a concentrated place and time to introduce worldwide digital cinema technology and information to all professionals in the industry.
At present, industrialization in movie industry is speeding up.
